We have had an amazing experience with North Winds. From start to finish. Russ was very knowledgeable when he came out to explain everything and break down the pricing. He was honest and kept his word every step of the way. Lon was our installer and he blew it out of the park. Lon went the extra mile to make sure that our thermostat worked properly and we would be able to control our humidifier from it as well. After he left I had some concerns and he came right back to check everything back out and there was nothing for me to worry about. Lon reassured me the whole time by answering all my questions and helping me understand everything that was going on. I am so glad we went with North Winds (we got multiple other quotes before making our final decision. No one compared to North Winds when it came customer service). Thanks guys!
Cody and Mehdie were on time, professional, courteous and helpful. They both inspired confidence, and even though Mehdie was in training, I would never have known it. Cody thoroughly explained the change in plans and the different coverage each provided. All in all, one happy customer.

I chose North Winds from three highly rated companies. All three companies were professional and respectful in their presentation, but Nate's was a step above. The other two companies oversold for my small home's needs.

North Wind's installation crew was respectful and efficient even though my older home presented some challenges.

Although I have not been able to use the air conditioning to its full potential yet, I anticipate it will meet my needs nicely.

While I am giving 5 stars for those reasons there were a couple of issues that were ultimately apologized for and resolved.

There was a scheduling change during a staff vacation that was not relayed to me and caused me to have to juggle another commitment at the last minute.

The electrical contractor North Wind uses drilled through a dryer wire, which required them to cut through my drywall for repairs and caused some additional inconvenience and disorganization in my home as they had to make a couple of followup visits to repair those holes.

All in all I still believe I made the right choice.

Personable staff making sure we understood how everything worked and also an excellent clean-up job. Helped us make sure our gas fireplace pilots were again lit as they had to be off during the furnace replacement, We would highly recommend both Todd and Willis and North Winds to our friends and relatives. Overall an excellent experience.

“On Sunday Dec 8, the new thermostat installed by Northwind on Friday the 6th locked me out as I attempted to program it. It had somehow become stuck on the temperature 66 leaving the house cold on a winter day., which was particularly uncomfortable because I had a respiratory illness. Usually a service call requires a $250 fee. But when I spoke to the service tech, Justin, and explained the circumstance, he told me that there would be no charge given so recent an installation, and that he would come to my home quickly to remedy the situation. Justin was a consummate professional in manner and kindness, instructing me on every detail about how to use the new thermostat. He had some difficulty himself getting it to “on stick” and it took some research online to figure out the problem and reset the thermostat.

I am grateful to Justin and to Northwind for being not only reliable, but kind and flexible to the situation at hand.
