AC needed replaced. Contacted North Winds. Russ was at my home that day and I had a quote the following day. Having AC unit installed about 12 days from when I first called. Quick and efficient. I had first contacted the HVAC company who installed and serviced the AC system when I built my home 17 years ago. Still waiting for a quote. North Winds is who I'll be using from now on. Add on: AC installed today. Lon and his helper were great. Done quickly and efficiently. Went over the unit with me after installation. Used drop clothes for walkways. Cleaned up after. Other than a new AC unit looks like they were never here. Will use again. Add on: I had issues with the 16 year old in floor heating system this December. Cody and Phil were able to diagnose and correct the problem. Working like it should again. Add on: Had AC units serviced this week (June 2026). Technician notified me of his arrival and showed up on time. Pleasant and professional. Everything working as it should. Also, in floor heating worked great this past winter. Happy customer.

Technician was very thorough and discovered that our thermostat was incorrectly wired when installed and spent some time correcting the problem - was with his boss on the phone.

Tech was professional and efficient. Office staff was helpful and attentive. Great overall experience.

The installation crew of 2 were knowledgeable and courteous. Explained all installation process. I am very pleased with the installation. Will certainly use North Winds Heating and Cooling for future projects.

This was our first time working with North Winds and we couldn’t rate them more highly. It was a Sunday morning after an ice storm, our furnace had stopped working, and we have a young baby. Phil was out within 90 minutes and had us back up and running in no time. He also took the time to discuss some other projects/issues we had questions about. Very pleased. Update: We decided to replace our furnace and AC unit, which were very old and having increasingly frequent problems. Russ did a great job of going over options with us and Don and his team did a wonderful job of installation. At the end, they took the time to go over the operation and maintenance of the units with us. Chelsea in the office was also wonderful in terms of walking us through scheduling, financing, and rebate-related issues. Very pleased. 4/14/25 - North Winds continues to exceed our expectations. Spring AC startup today was a piece of cake and Cody was great. Thank you! 6/15/26 - Cody does an amazing job every time he comes out. Thank you, Cody and North Winds!

Quick service on a Saturday- service tech was very nice and knowledgeable.

My AC unit was having issues but Kavin and Dillon got it squared away in no time. They told me exactly what the issue was and walked me through it. They also communicated what to look out for in the future. Kavin even had a look at my water heater and was very communicative about any issues that might arise from it. It was a great help and they did a fantastic, timely job 👍

We had the best experience with Northwinds!!! The team Willis, Tyler and Dominick were hands down the best service crew with ANY company I’ve hired!!!! They were professional, knowledgeable, polite, and got the job done!!! They exceeded my expectations! And a special shoutout to Nate for a down to earth personable experience AND for getting us on the schedule that worked best for our needs!

RECENT SERVICE APPT. (June 2026) I had scheduled an annual tuneup for my central air conditioner. However, when I tried using it a week before the appointment, it wasn’t working well. I moved my appointment up and Chase the technician came as scheduled, calling when he was on the way. Chase did a thorough check and determined that the filter needed changing, and put in a new one. I had been changing it every six months, but Chase recommended doing it every 3 to 4 months. Chase also did the annual tuneup. Now my house is nicely cooled, and I am again very happy with North Winds and their staff. LATEST SERVICE VISIT (Aug. 2024) My technician, Craig, checked the gas lines during a routine furnace inspection, and found a small leak. He had to replace part of the piping, which involved calling around to find the right size since it was non-standard. After going to buy the piping, he returned and replaced it, and then was very thorough in making sure that the gas leak issue had been resolved. He kept me informed throughout the process and was professional and courteous. I continue to be very happy with North Winds. UPDATE (Oct. 2023) I had the furnace annual inspection and it looks like I need some parts replaced including the heat exchanger, which is still covered by a good warranty. My technician, Craig, was very good and gave me some options. I have always had a good experience with this company. (earlier review) I purchased my AC and furnace from North Winds, and they inspect the AC and furnace each year. I have always been very happy with my experience with this company.
