Russ was professional, respectful, and took the time to answer all my questions thoroughly. The prices were very reasonable. I felt Russ was transparent about the process.

As a woman, I’ve often felt dismissed and not taken seriously when working with contractors, including experiencing uncomfortable situations where boundaries weren’t always respected. That was not the case here at all, and I really appreciated the professionalism and respect throughout the entire interaction.

North Winds (Nate, Peter, Todd) installed new 97% Trane heating and 80k BTU AC systems and Honeywell thermostat. They also improved existing duct work. We’re looking forward to a more comfortable and energy efficient home.

3/19 complete HVAC install. Todd, Art and Pete installed new furnace and AC for me. Had Todd and Art on day one and both were extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Todd walked me through everything both on the heating and cooling side, and answered every question I had

Art was super friendly and did a great job on the install along with Todd.

Pete was with Todd and Art on day 2 and got the AC moving quickly and helped me get setup on my new Honeywell tstat app. Very easy to use again Pete answered all my questions.

Great team, great finished product and I’m extremely happy with the results. This is very important because of such a large financial investment. I already referred a coworker of mine who happens to also need a complete HVAC replacement.

3/24/26 update. Inspection of new Furnace and AC passed. The inspector mentioned at least three times how fine of a job Northwinds did. He said that he could tell extreme care with safety in mind was displayed in the workmanship.

“On Sunday Dec 8, the new thermostat installed by Northwind on Friday the 6th locked me out as I attempted to program it. It had somehow become stuck on the temperature 66 leaving the house cold on a winter day., which was particularly uncomfortable because I had a respiratory illness. Usually a service call requires a $250 fee. But when I spoke to the service tech, Justin, and explained the circumstance, he told me that there would be no charge given so recent an installation, and that he would come to my home quickly to remedy the situation. Justin was a consummate professional in manner and kindness, instructing me on every detail about how to use the new thermostat. He had some difficulty himself getting it to “on stick” and it took some research online to figure out the problem and reset the thermostat.

I am grateful to Justin and to Northwind for being not only reliable, but kind and flexible to the situation at hand.
