Do not hesitate to contact this office. They are very accommodating and easy to work. They are happy to answer my questions to make sure I am not signing up for unnecessary services. Rick is phenomenal and has the patience of a saint! He always goes above and beyond. He takes great care to make sure I understand what he is doing and the why behind it which is very appreciated. No pushy sales and I am comfortable asking for quotes and referrals on other services available as well. I always have a peace of mind after North Winds has made a visit. AC needed replaced. Contacted North Winds. Russ was at my home that day and I had a quote the following day. Having AC unit installed about 12 days from when I first called. Quick and efficient. I had first contacted the HVAC company who installed and serviced the AC system when I built my home 17 years ago. Still waiting for a quote. North Winds is who I'll be using from now on. Add on: AC installed today. Lon and his helper were great. Done quickly and efficiently. Went over the unit with me after installation. Used drop clothes for walkways. Cleaned up after. Other than a new AC unit looks like they were never here. Will use again. Add on: I had issues with the 16 year old in floor heating system this December. Cody and Phil were able to diagnose and correct the problem. Working like it should again. Add on: Had AC units serviced this week (June 2026). Technician notified me of his arrival and showed up on time. Pleasant and professional. Everything working as it should. Also, in floor heating worked great this past winter. Happy customer.

Technician was very thorough and discovered that our thermostat was incorrectly wired when installed and spent some time correcting the problem - was with his boss on the phone.

The installation crew of 2 were knowledgeable and courteous. Explained all installation process. I am very pleased with the installation. Will certainly use North Winds Heating and Cooling for future projects.

This was our first time working with North Winds and we couldn’t rate them more highly. It was a Sunday morning after an ice storm, our furnace had stopped working, and we have a young baby. Phil was out within 90 minutes and had us back up and running in no time. He also took the time to discuss some other projects/issues we had questions about. Very pleased. Update: We decided to replace our furnace and AC unit, which were very old and having increasingly frequent problems. Russ did a great job of going over options with us and Don and his team did a wonderful job of installation. At the end, they took the time to go over the operation and maintenance of the units with us. Chelsea in the office was also wonderful in terms of walking us through scheduling, financing, and rebate-related issues. Very pleased. 4/14/25 - North Winds continues to exceed our expectations. Spring AC startup today was a piece of cake and Cody was great. Thank you! 6/15/26 - Cody does an amazing job every time he comes out. Thank you, Cody and North Winds!

“On Sunday Dec 8, the new thermostat installed by Northwind on Friday the 6th locked me out as I attempted to program it. It had somehow become stuck on the temperature 66 leaving the house cold on a winter day., which was particularly uncomfortable because I had a respiratory illness. Usually a service call requires a $250 fee. But when I spoke to the service tech, Justin, and explained the circumstance, he told me that there would be no charge given so recent an installation, and that he would come to my home quickly to remedy the situation. Justin was a consummate professional in manner and kindness, instructing me on every detail about how to use the new thermostat. He had some difficulty himself getting it to “on stick” and it took some research online to figure out the problem and reset the thermostat.

I am grateful to Justin and to Northwind for being not only reliable, but kind and flexible to the situation at hand.

I highly recommend Northwind as a service provider.”
