“This review is for the installation of a Fujitsu air conditioning and heating unit for two bedrooms. Earlier we had North Winds install one of these to cool the living room and another bedroom. We have enjoyed it so much we decided to have this second one installed.
Lon and the team who did the installation we excellent in all respects. They arrived on time, courteous and professional, technically savvy in dealing with some of the architectural challenges posed by our historic house, including putting a nicely crafted board over a hole in the soffit and painting it to blend in.
They worked collaboratively, cheerfully and efficiently, finishing in two days a job estimated to take three days. When they finished they took time to go over the details on how to control the units.
We could not have been happier with the service and recommend Norrh Winds highly.”

They installed drop clothes from the entry door, down the stairs, across the basement, and into the mechanical room, and wore booties the whole time. They went right to work, and completed the job in just over 1.5 days (while the estimate had quoted three days). They removed the old system components from the house each day, and cleaned up. When the work was done, they took us downstairs and spent quite a bit of time showing us how to use the various features. We could not have been more pleased, and highly recommend Northwinds!!”

“I have nothing but extreme gratitude and thanks for Northwinds Heating and Cooling, and to Gavin, Willis and Chaase. These gentlemen may have very well saved my family's life. My furnace had been acting up lately and I had been getting awful migraines for the last 2 weeks, and my husband had been getting them for a few days and my son was feeling off. Gavin came after hours for an emergency appointment because our furnace was not putting out any heat, and informed us that our furnace was reading 500ppm of carbon monoxide, and anything over 100ppm is unsafe. The furnace was old and needed replacing and we are expecting single digit temps in a couple of days. The Northwinds crew had a brand new furnace installed the very next day, 100% complete, all in less than 24 hours. I cannot thank you all enough for expediting this serious matter and not only getting us heat during extremely cold temps in record time, but more importantly removing a potentially fatal situation for us. “On Sunday Dec 8, the new thermostat installed by Northwind on Friday the 6th locked me out as I attempted to program it. It had somehow become stuck on the temperature 66 leaving the house cold on a winter day., which was particularly uncomfortable because I had a respiratory illness. Usually a service call requires a $250 fee. But when I spoke to the service tech, Justin, and explained the circumstance, he told me that there would be no charge given so recent an installation, and that he would come to my home quickly to remedy the situation. Justin was a consummate professional in manner and kindness, instructing me on every detail about how to use the new thermostat. He had some difficulty himself getting it to “on stick” and it took some research online to figure out the problem and reset the thermostat.
I am grateful to Justin and to Northwind for being not only reliable, but kind and flexible to the situation at hand.

Even though their schedule was full they worked my job into their schedule because it was cold and I needed heat. The workmanship is beautiful. The technician explained and showed me the three shut-offs: the electrical switch and the two shut-off valves on the water and gas. He explained the warranties and the maintenance needs for the future. Great company & great people!
